Dr. Kent is a native Californian and graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He has practiced dentistry on the Monterey Peninsula for over 30 years. In 2013 he was awarded Dentist of the Year by the Monterey Bay Dental Society, was elected to serve as their President for 2017, and has served as the Chairman of the Peer Review Board for the Society for over 8 years. His hobbies include playing guitar, golf with his son Trevin, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. Email: email@example.com
Dr. Malia Seltzer
Dr. Seltzer was born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula. She followed in the footsteps of her father (Dr. Ronald Seltzer) and uncle (Dr. Richard Kent), graduating from the Loma Linda School of Dentistry in 2004. Dr. Seltzer started her career in private practice in Chico, CA and has also spent several years serving in a non-profit community clinic in Santa Cruz, CA. Dr. Seltzer has enjoyed her career in dentistry, but is extremely excited about the opportunity to come “home” and serve alongside the team at Monterey Dental Contours. Maryanne Maryanne has over 5 years of experience working chairside as a dental assistant, both as a civil service employee and contractor working for the U.S. military. She transitioned to the medical administrative branch upon earning her bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration in 2012. Both her clinical and administrative experience make her a great asset in our front office. Maryanne loves contributing to our patients' over all positive dental experience. In her spare time, she enjoys biking and traveling with her husband and three children.
Ginger first practiced as a dental hygienist after receiving her degree from Loma Linda University. After working for over 20 years as a hygienist, Ginger transitioned into the front office to serve in an administrative management capacity. She enjoys building long-term relationships with people receiving care in our office. She has been married to Dr. Kent for over 36 years, and her hobbies include singing, playing piano, reading, and her secondary profession as a cosmetic consultant.
Nel Nel has been in the dental field since 1981. She began her dental career as a dentist in the Philippines. Nel is a people person who excels in technical tasks working alongside Dr. Kent. She greatly appreciates the family environment and team-oriented atmosphere of Dr. Kent’s office. In her spare time she loves reading, shopping, cooking, and walking her dog.
Whitney Whitney joined our team in 2014, and serves as a Registered Dental Assistant. She enjoys working directly with our patients as well as assisting Dr. Kent and the Dental Hygiene Team. Whitney is currently studying to further her career, and aspires to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. She enjoys running and spending time with her friends and family.
Stacy Stacy has over 30 years of dental experience – both as Registered Dental Assistant and Registered Dental Hygienist for General and Periodontal offices. Stacy loves the detail oriented nature of dentistry, and the care that she provides as a Hygienist to help her patients improve their dental health! In her leisure time, Stacy loves to race go-karts, bike ride, travel, and spend time with her friends and pets.
Kay Kay has been involved in dentistry since 1978 when she became a dental assistant and then attended Fresno State University to receive her degree as a Dental Hygienist. Kay enjoys helping people make positive changes, and is an advocate for the importance of dental health, which greatly impacts our overall health. In her free time Kay spends time with her children and enjoys biking, hiking, cooking, and watching movies.
Britta Britta loves Dentistry and the Dental Profession because of the way it supports a person’s overall health and well-being. She has extensive experience as a Dental Hygienist and Educator in the Dental Hygiene program at Cabrillo College, where she frequently draws from her vast health-related training as an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Assistant, EMT, & Yoga instructor. Britta is avid musician, and also loves to spend time at her family’s farm in San Luis Obispo and hike in the Nisene Marks National Forest.
